Kids are better than Art School kids.

Spent the better part of the last two weeks working with young kids (12-16) in Papakura making art.

The best thing about working with kids of tjis demographic is that they quite often give you a very different view of art, both their own and yours.

It is very easy to slip into a pattern of thought that makes your own artwork the centre of your universe, working with kids like this makes you realise how inconcequential your art is in the grander scheme of things. This in turn leads to you making art purely for the sake of your own enjoyment.
